i am a serving central govenment officer and have not filled any income tax return till date.

my TDS takes place from my organisation i.e. department in central govenrment and deposited in govt treasury.

i hav specific questions from experts of the field like you-

1. i came to know that i can do online filling of return as late refund. plz enlighten. till when can i do that, i mean i hav never filled for past 6 years. and now is AY 2013-14, i have very crude or zero knowledge of finance/revenue.

2. since i hav valid form 16 issued by my organisation as TDS which is duly reflectd in TRACES as forn 26A, plz comment if i am on risk of suffering any repercussion on not filling returns, if so plz guide me what to do.

Looking forward to an early reply and as a rescue/peace of mind.

04 July 2013 Now you can file only last 2 years returns, not more than that.

So you can file ay-2012-13 as belated and AY-13-14 as normal return
