30 January 2018 Sir, Assessing officer issued notice for A.Y.2014-15 for non filling income Tax Return, i do a job in bank TDS deducted from my salary.So I have not file Income Tax return Please advice me

30 January 2018 You have to file return of income if the total income is exceeding the maximum
amount which is not chadgeable to tax.But exemption was available for the
assessment year 2011-12 and 2012-13 in those cases wherein total income
< Rs. 5 lakhs.

31 January 2018 To Sir's reply, I wish to add that a penalty of INR 5000 may be levied u/s 271F.
The levy of this penalty is not automatic and is discretionary. If all taxes are paid, there would be a lower chance of invoking the penalty.
