pls sir explain me what is nifty & sensex in your own wards I know in technical terms but I don't understand its function In real practical world ..

in simple words its an index which reflects the pricing of shares of various listed companies.
its function is to provide a measure of how investors are looking at the Indian companies. if the sensex goes up it means investors are expecting good returns. if it goes down, it means investors are expecting worsening economy..
