New TDS amendment Query

Can we submit the TDS deposit in Bank as done earlier with the new form 17 or we have to deposite directly through net transfer? As in new amendment it is mentioned that TDS to be deposited only thru online.

No TDS will be deposited in Bank with New Form-17. It is cleared in circular 2/2009 TDS shall be deposited through online only.However, TDS effected during april and May can be deposited in Bank or through online with challan No:281.but u have to upload form 17 for TDS enteries of april and may within period from 1st july to 15th july.
