i have heard that the Govt proposes to repeal ITA, 1961 and frame & enact ITA,2011 with all new sections and provisions etc. (of course keeeping the Basic Structure same)..
is it true?? if yes, could u pls provide me any details?

yes , it is true.
it will be done by bringing new DirectTax code 2009 into effect.

Yes its true but when it will come into force is not sure. you know earlier there were klot of confusions i.e. section, sub section, expalnations, proviso1,2,3.... to avoid all these ITA new bill is proposed.
