Need urgent advice..

06 November 2015 I am in my 2nd year of Articleship in a small firm in Hyderabad. My second year is due to be completed in March'16. I have my CA final attempt in November'16. I am not really happy with the work am doing in my firm, I wish to do more than currently what I am doing.

I need advice in two contexts :

1.I wish to do Industrial training, but I am not sure what is the process. I am also not really keen on doing in any particular industry.Then the question arises why I want to do Industrial training in the first place? That would be the only way I could get the termination from the current firm I am working in.

2. Do Big4/ Big5 take articleship students in the 3 rd year? If they do, is it right to take internship with them during the 3rd year?

Please advice..I am really in a state of mind..where am not able to decide what I need to do?

06 November 2015 Many a times it so happens that the work we are doing does not suit to our appetite. The best course would be to give some APTITUDE test before changing from the existing situation. It should not so happen that EARLIER was better. There are many advantages of SMALL firm as well. You need to vet them before taking final decision.

06 November 2015 Totally agree with you Sir.Considering those advantages only I had held on for so long. But Now, I don't see any growth out here. Instead, I am getting more irritated and frustrated day by day, with seeing my graph going down instead of up. I need a break from this , that's when idea of Industrial training stuck me.

06 November 2015 PWC has its industrial trainer name approved by ICAI. You can opt for that.

Transfer in the third year is EXCEPTIONALLY allowed and hence either secondment or industrial training be thought of.
