28 March 2008 what is the treatment of cash discount allowed to customer . it is shown in credit side or not in branch debtors account

28 March 2008 Cash discount not at all comes under books of accounts. Sales and debtors are recorded net off cash discount

28 March 2008 yes Mr.Shailesh is absolutely right cash discount never comes in the books of account's only trade discount is accounted in the book's of account's.
Cash discount can never appear in the branch debtor's account.

31 March 2008 OF COURSE CASH DICOUNT NEVER COMES INTO PICTURE.SALES AND DEBTORS ARE ACCOUNTED ONLY AFTER NETTING OF CASH DISCOUNT
