07 May 2014 can registration for mvat be done without CA or Sales Tax Practitioner???? or it is compulsory to appoint CA or STP?? i know all the procedure. and are any extra documents required if i do it by myself???

07 May 2014 Assistance by a CA or an STP is only optional. Registration forms can be filled up on line,through the web site of mahavat.gov.nic.in. Required documents are also indicated there which have to be uploaded. When the application is accepted by the department web site it gives a reference number. It may be noted or even a copy be taken and then go to the VAT ofice concerned with original documents.An inspector will verify the apllication ,visitthe spot and make a report. Finally,
you pay the registration fee,security deposit and get the RC(of course some tips)......mjk
