27 May 2015 One my client is the retailer of Electric & Hardware goods and holding MVAT Reg No since last 2 years.
Now he had changed the nature of business from retail to wholesale and changed the POB and also changed the commodity traded. Also he wants to get register himself under CST as he will be buying goods from other states.
How should he go about it and what documents will be required for this. Should he apply for amendment first and then CST Registration or vise-a-versa?

29 May 2015 DEAR RAJESH ,YOU CAN GIVE THE APPLICATION TO THE MVAT DEPARTMENT FOR SUCH CHANGES MADE BY YOUR CLIENT ALONG WITH THAT YOU HAVE TO PRODUCE THE SHOP ACT ,CANCEL CHEQUE,ORIGINAL VAT CERTIFICATES,ADDRESS OF POB TO GET SUCH AMENDMENT IN VAT CERTIFICATE.IF THE CLIENT NOT HAVING ORIGINAL VAT CERTIFICATE THEN YOU HAVE TO PASTE 30 RS COURT FEE STAMPS ON THE APPLICATION .AFTER GIVING APPLICATION YOU WILL GET THE NEW CERTIFICATE WITH LATEST AMENDMENT IN 7 DAYS.NEXT QUERY THE CLIENT WANT TO GET THE CST NUMBER FOR THIS YOU HAVE TO GIVE THE SAME DOCUMENT ALONG WITH THE HARD COPY OF FORM NUMBER-A (CST REGISRATION FORM)
