=See the sectors and companies in which fund is/to be invested.
=What is the cash retention ratio for the particular fund?
=Past record of the fund manager
=Analyse the returns of the MFs over a period of time according to your investment horizon.
If you are a long term investor then watch out for the MFs which have generated higher returns in long time horizon say 2-3 yrs.

A mutual fund is valued daily and reports a price known as a net asset value (NAV) per share. In
its simplest form, a NAV is the total value of all the securities held in a fund divided by the total number of
shares owned by its shareholders. As the price of the NAV increases or decreases, the shareholder's value will
increase or decrease.
