21 July 2014 An assessee paid municipal taxes which were outstanding for many years. The payments exceeded the anount of rent for the year. Can this excess payment be carried forward as house proprty loss and set off in next year?

21 July 2014 yes if amount after feeding income and exp the net income from house property is -ve then it can be carried forwrded to subsequent year.
