Multiple house properties with hra

22 January 2013 If person having two house properties one in Thane & another in New Mumbai both are letting out and he himself stays in Rented house at Chembur, working in Fort then can he claim the hra & home loan both?

22 January 2013 Yes. incase of employment requirement, a person cannot stay in own house and staying rented house in different city. he can claim HRA & one house as self occupied property

23 January 2013 Thanks Mr. Ramesh, i have some confusion that the employee pays emi for both house & shown rent received from one house and also claim HRA then how can i show the same in computation of income?

23 January 2013 you need to calculate the Income from House property for each house separately and gross it up and add in the total income. HRA will be computed under Salary income
