THIS IS REGARDING MRP BASED EXCISE VALUATION:clarification needed.
1)whether all chapter goods covered?
2)whether particular chapter i.e. chapter
65--- related to hats,head gears,safety
head gears etc also covered?
3)if MRP based valuation what % of abatement/discount available to such products?

1. No, only goods specified in notification issued under Section 4A (49/2008 dated 24.12.2008 as amended) is included in MRP based valuation.
2. Safety headgear falling under CETH 650610 is included in MRP based valuation. No other product falling under Chapter 65 is included.
3. % of abatement on safety headgear is 45% as present.
