i have my demate a/c with idbi capital. their brokerage is very high min20/- per trnx. I want to open another demate a/c but i do not want to close this a/c.can i do this? and also suggest me the better option where i can open my a/c.

Yes, there is no problem.
There can be more than one demat and more than one trading account of the same person.

With single PAN no. you may open and hold more than one demat account.
