More than one demat possible?

09 December 2011 i have my demate a/c with idbi capital. their brokerage is very high min20/- per trnx. I want to open another demate a/c but i do not want to close this a/c.can i do this? and also suggest me the better option where i can open my a/c.

There can be more than one demat and more than one trading account of the same person.
