14 October 2010 we have cenvat credit balance of excise.
And during the month education cess & surchage is payable.
Can I adjust cenvat credit against surcharge and education cess or i have to pay education cess & surchage. Please help out.

14 October 2010 You can not adjust the education cess on CENVAT balance of excise duty. You have to pay education cess.
