Mistakenly manual filing of itr instead of e-file

18 June 2013 Dear experts

pls guide me about that my client has under the eligible criteria to E-FILE the ITR but filed IT return manually for AY2012-13.

Then what should the procedure to correct it.And what is the status the manual ITR.

please reply me under the provision of income tax act.

18 June 2013 1)for A.Y. 2012-13 mandatory to file return online if taxable income is more than 10 lakhs

2)if you are mandatorily required to file electronically IT dept may not accept your return..

18 June 2013 please tell me what is the status of manual filed return (either it is consider invalid, defective or no return at all) in terms of IT sections.
and guide me what should i do now to correct it.

18 June 2013 OK Vinita, so i will be file belated return u/s 139(4.and what about penalty and interest??
