Mistake in online payment of tax challan

The Advance tax for the assessment year 2011-12 was wrongly deposited ONLINE as Self Assessment Tax for the assessment year 2010-11. The ITR of astt. year 2010-11 has already been filed. What is the way out? Should the ITR be revised? Can the challan be corrected? Please guide.

You may inform CBC, Bangaluru, by writing a letter of this intent and also intimate in writing to the AO having jurisdiction on your case.
