Mismatch in case of Cash Deposits

As per the interview by Finance minister Mr. Arun jatley and Revenue Secretary Hasmukh Adhia, the cash deposits shall be matched with Income tax returns. Is it tax returns of previous years or tax return of AY 2017-18?

It will be matched with your sales tax return or vat return, excise return, advance tax paid by you and current year income tax return including a comparative analysis of previous year income tax returns.
