18 October 2013 NO - a minor cannot be a director of any company.

The Indian Contracts Act,1872 makes a minor incapable of contracting and all contracts with minors are void ab initio.

The Companies Act 1956 and 2013 lays down a number of duties and obligations for Directors which are basically contractual in nature.

Hence a minor cannot be appointed a Director of a company registered under Companies Act in force.
