15 April 2015 How can apply for migration of pan number.
One person has filed itr in Ay08-09 in Banglaore address. Now he has shifted to delhi and for same year their is a demand u/s 154 of Rs. 150000. Now he want to handle his case in delhi.
So, What is the procedure to handle case in delhi please confirm in brief

15 April 2015 you wont be able to get retrospective change of jurisdiction. will have to handle in Bangalore only.

15 April 2015 As Nikhil said, it is not possible.
But you can try this option. Apply for change of address in PAN and after receiving PAN, check your assessing information online. If it gets changed to Delhi, you can write a letter to Bangalore AO to transfer your case to Delhi AO.

15 April 2015 Sir ,there must be some serious misunderstanding in your question. There can not be demand u/s 154 as it is a rectification section. If you want rectification of any demand made by department intimated to you online then you can get rectification done online irrespective of your residential address,from anywhere.If the demand is because of scrutiny assessment ,it would be better to go for appeal.In such case, apply for rectification of address by filing 49aa with NSDL OR UTI, ask for transfer of your file to new address ward and deal with case. It may take lot of time. Alternatively give a ITP power of attorney and let him deal with case.

Please note that where AO rectifies the order issued under 143(3) or intimation issued under section 143(1) and there is a consequent demand, such demand is reflected as raised under section 154 only.
