01 December 2010 how would a investor be treated if he is having shares of a company .but in the register of members the name of depository is mentioned so what would the investor be treated as :a shareholder ,or a :member?

01 December 2010 In case of share demat the actual shareholder is considered as beneficial owner (BO).

It is a recognised situation in law so there is nothing to worry.

02 December 2010 agreed sir he s the beneficial owner nd d depository a registerd owner but ma question was ki how would d actual investor b tsken as member coz m a bit confused in sec 152 nd stll ur answer was nt a mucch big help
