25 February 2013 Company pay 50% amount of mediclaim policy for the employee and doing itself(company).

Now Question is if employee do anther policy from Market. can he claim for tax rebate (80D) for the both premium.

as well can be insurance claim from both policy

25 February 2013 Hi,

Employee can claim deduction wrt both the policy u/s 80 D.

However claim can not be made from both the policy as per IRDA. However combine claim can be made.

EG. If co. insures for 2L & 1L Medi. ins. taken from personal policy & total claim is 4 Lacs then employee can make a claim from both the policy.
