08 October 2008 Whether export duty will be applicable on Medicines meant for Personal use. Whether the consignee has to pay duty at the time of collecting the medicines?

09 October 2008 no duty is involved but i don't think so y can send the medicine by shipment has it require lot of formality

09 October 2008 Does it undergo any customs clearance at the airport and if it is sent by courier in a small pack?

09 October 2008 mr iyer the courier person will take the consignment but they will not able to assure u whether they can give the consignment. first and foremost the end user has to give the certificate to you and the customs stating why he require the medicine and why the medicine is not available in his country the certificate has to be given by reputed licence doctor frankly speaking it si diffiult to send the medicine i had experienced it
