For getting deduction of Medical Reimbursement up to Rs.15000/- whether bills are required to be presented?

07 February 2008 Yes of course, not only the bills but also the receipt, as otherwise how will you substantiate that it was actually incurred?
In addition, the payment has to be for medicine/treatment.

& should be in the name of dependent family person includes urself,wife, children,parentsand other dependents

07 February 2008 Can two assessees of same family claim deduction provided on submission of same bills to the different employer ?

07 February 2008 YES,SINCE THE EXEMPTION IS GIVEN ONLY AFTER SUBMITTING THE ORIGINAL BILLS TO THEIR RESPECTIVE EMPLOYERS.
