medical premium bill u/s 17(2)

19 June 2011 Dear Sir/madam,

I had paid medical premium of RS 5000.
I availed deduction u/s section 80(D)

Can I claim RS 5000 receipt under medical allowance as per sec 17(2)as non taxable perquisites????

Please clarify at the earliest.

19 June 2011 Medical allowance is taxable.
Medical Reimbursement upto 15000/p a - is allowable.

But first of all tell , from where Rs 5000/ receipt has come from ?
