12 May 2012 gud morning to all experts,
today i watching tax doctor in zee business. in this show ca subhash lakhotia sir says that if u have tds refund. than when you will fill their income tax return than you fill refund latter than u will get refund. now my query is that my tds refund for the fy. 2010-2011. i already fill my return. but refund latter i don"t fill and sand to banglore income tax office i sand only my acknowledgement. is any rule in income tax .

12 May 2012 You have misinterpreted his wordings. What he meant to say that after filing the return if you do not receive the refund within a certain time, then file a letter with the AO requesting him to grant the refund.

It does not mean that it is compulsory to file a letter.

Refunds for FY 2010-11 are still being processed. Wait for some time. You will get the refund.

12 May 2012 If you have E filed the return and not adopted to digitally sign the return, pls check if the ITR V has been received by CPC. There may not be too many AY10-11 returns to be processed at CPC at this point of time unless the returns were filed recently and the ITRV is yet to be received at CPC
