whether material supplied during warranty period attract sales tax / VAT. please send relevant text of laws, case laws if any

I think u are sending back to supplier for replacement or repairing purpose. in this case you should use Challan and clearly maintion (Not for Sale only for repair) then no sales tax vat will be applicable.
