21 January 2010 We have dispatch the wine as branch transfer to the depot of the company in Karnataka, Delhi,UP but due to fermentation of wine, company want to get back the wine stock.
Please anyone can tell me the process for the material return in excise.

As you have cleared these material along with excise invoice it should be returned to your company from all the depots along with excise invoice (either with the original+duplicate which were sent from your co or depot can return with depot,s invoice u/r 3(4) by mentioning as such clearance.
But before that you have to intimate this matter in writing to your range supdt about the fact also to the local sales tax office. your letter will be in such a manner that you are compell to take back this material along with qty and value duty involve there.
Without knowledge of excise supdt do'nt do this.
This matter may be reffered to commissioner but there will be no harm if the problem particularly to quality and may relate to consumer health.
I think there is state excise other narco deptt should be make cc of this intimation.
