Material retured after issue of "C" form

10 February 2009 we have issued "c" form for purchase of capital goods. Subsequently we have returned the goods. Pls tell me what will be the implication for the issued form "C". we cannot ammend the form as the supplier is disputing.

10 February 2009 you have issued Form c after that capital goods return. no problem. forget it. you can return Goods within six month.

10 February 2009 my query is that is ther any implication with sales tax authorities. I know we can return the goods within six month of billing.

10 February 2009 While returning the goods you have to send them a credit note alongwith the note that "C" form issued will stands cancelled and you have to intimate your concered sales tax officer and also the sellers sales tax officer. Then send a registered post to return the C Form and if they have already filed then you have to get the acknowledgement of forms filed by them and inform the concerned sales tax office that the form given will be treated as cancelled.
