07 October 2010 Can a person be appointed Manager in more than one company.

In case of MD, the person can be appointed in more than two companies with Central Govt. approval sought through Eform 25A. Is it also applicable for Manager?

07 October 2010 Hi,

Yes it is possible.

Appointment of manager in more than 1 company is governed by section 386 which is parallel to section 316 for MD.

With unanimous consent of board a person who is already manager of one company can be appointed as manager of another company.

Kindly go through section 386.
