what is meant by MIS?

MIS as you rightly said that ot is Management Information Systemn.
Not talking on purely computer terms, MIS litreally mean that such a kind of Report that would infom the Top and middle management about Sales, Purchase, Margins, Headcount, Productivity,Cash flow etc on monthly basis of quarterlt basis vis a vis a comparision with the budgeted figures and previuos Year/Years.
so as to enable the Management of company about the position of the company
