LTA - Can I claim expenses of one journey in 2 years

This question is with regards to LTA

LTA from employer is Rs 30,000 per year

Employee had made travel & its cost him is Rs 70,000

Can he claim part of expenses - Say Rs 30,000 in first year & then rest in second year of the same jouney

13 February 2011 LTA is based upon journey actually taken by the employee. If employee is eligible to get Rs.30000/ per year in respect to journey accomplished during the year, the excess expenditure incurred by him can not be claimed in the next year.

In other words, it is to be claimed in full in the year of journey itself.
