03 July 2009 plz, can any one get me to the solution for getting a copy of lost Advance tax e-payment challan.

03 July 2009 YOU CAN GET THE DETAILS OF THE SAME. BUT FOR COPY OF ADVANCE TAX CHALLAN, YOU NEED TO APPLY FOR CERTIFICATE FROM THE BANKER. THEY WILL TAKE SOME CHARGES & ISSUE YOU THE CONCERN CERTIFICATE.

WHERE FIRST SEVEN DIGIT = BANK BSR CODE
SEND SIX DIGIT = DATE OF PAYMENT

THIS MAY SERVE YOUR PURPOSE, GET THE CERTIFICATE ALSO TO AVOID FURTHER COMPLICATIONS.

03 July 2009 Dear Pranita. If the challan paid was through internet banking, as you mentioned its e payment, then you can get the copy from bank itself. Every bank has an option to regenerate the challan. You need not to pay any charge or not require any certificate for that. Just go to bank website, login with your id through which you made that tax payment. You will get an option to track the transactions of payments, and may be a link to regenrate the tax challans. No need to worry.
