Hi, friends can a private limited Company be listed on the stock exchanges, if so what are requisites that has to be fulfilled and the procedure to be followed.

Under sec 3(1)(iii) of the companies act, 1956 a private company is a company that prohibits any invitation to the public to subscribe for any shares in, or debentures of, the company.
So the basis of our answer is nothing but the definition of the Pvt Company as laid down in the act.
