This discussion explores how an agent can secure a $500 brokerage fee when a Dubai buyer uses a Letter of Credit (LC) to purchase goods from a Sri Lankan company. The agent is concerned about receiving their commission directly, as payment is typically made to the exporter upon document submission. Various options are discussed, including direct payment from the buyer, inclusion in the LC as a secondary beneficiary, and consulting banks for international transfer possibilities.

As exporter gets money when they will give all documents in their bank with letter of credit.

That's not possible. Only way to get the commission is through bank only. I have to get commission from buyer only. Their should be some mode to receive money officially from overseas bank.
It's not possible as no one will transfers money after l c issued and cargo received by buyer. All precautions taken at the time of l c is opened. I don't know international banking . Regards.

Thanks again. They say they can't send. Is possible to add one more beneficiary in the l c means first is seller and second my name with Bank details and amount of usd 500.00 so that as seller gets his invoice value and I get my brokerage from their bank directly to my account in India. Regards
