Can diwali hloiday is valid for claiming Leave Travel allowance. Pls guide on Leave travel allowance.

To claim the LTA following conditions needs to be followed:
1. You must be on leave
2. You must have traveled
3. Cost of travel will be reimbursed
4. it should be max 2trip in block of 4 years
(current block is 2009-12)
Thats it. Rest about the rules of reimbursement is stated in income tax rules.
