CL is the Causal leave- which is not carry forward or payable in any case, in the year end, what ever balance will lapse
EL- Earned leave, generally it will accrual 1.75 Days per month, it will be payable while retirement or resigination

Hi,
Is it as per hte Wage Act?
I think it depends on company to company..
In my company, we can encash the balance CL at the end of the year?
Also the leave structure in private organisation varies company to company..ie..Casual Leave/Earned Leave/ Priviledged Leave/ Sick Leave..etc.,

Hi dear,
Leave is based on Shop & Establishment act / Factories act
As per State Shop Act, we have to give 12 casual leave , 12 Earned leave and 12 Sick leave. Total 36 days. This is the minimum leave prescribed under the ACT. However, nothing prevents the management to increase the quantum of leave.and also based on establishment covered whether Shop & Establishment and Factories act and managment policy it will differ
EL is allowed after completion of one year of service.
Unavailed Casual leave stands lapsed and shall not be carried over.
As per act CL will lapse,most of the companies follows the same, but payment against the unavailed CL will be company policy
