Leave encashment salary

03 December 2011 Dear Sir,

I have received leave encashment salary from the F. Y. 2007-08. Total leave encashment salary is Rs. 65000/-. Is it 100% taxable or Can I avail exemption us 10(10A). Please explain. Its urgent..

03 December 2011 During the continuance of employment, Leave encashment is taxable.

At the time of leaving job certain exemption is there U/s 10(10AA).
