Dear Sir,
Is it possible to file income tax return for AY 11-12 after due date 31-7-11 ? The assessee is having business income but due to some reasons the accounts are yet to be finalized. The income is below taxable limit.
Can we file the IT return after 31-7-11? if yes, is there any panalty for that ?
Kindly guide.

Yes can be filed after 31/7/2011. Up to 31/03/2012 no penalty.
02 August 2011
If your txa liability nil than you file your return up to 31st march 2012 without any interest on penalty.
