Dear sirs,
Is it necessary to submit House rent paid receipts to employer, if yes, should the rent receipt include pan no of the landlord pls provide the relevant income tax act/circulars/notifications in this regard...

i think the pan no of the landlord is not compulsory but if you are providing it will be better.
you have to take the declaration in Form nO.10BA.

there is no such provision in the act which says that PAN of Land lord is required or not on rent receipts

THERE IS NOTHING IN THE ACT WHICH SAYS EITHER THE PAN NO OR RENT DEED IS REQUIRED BY THE EMPLOYER FOR CONSIDERATION OF HOUSE RENT ALLOWANCE

Only formal receipt consisting of ur land lord signature will hold good
