LANDLORD PAN NO MANDATORY FOR RENT RECEIPTS

Is it necessary to submit House rent paid receipts to employer, if yes, should the rent receipt include pan no of the landlord pls provide the relevant income tax act/circulars/notifications in this regard...

26 March 2008 i think the pan no of the landlord is not compulsory but if you are providing it will be better.
you have to take the declaration in Form nO.10BA.

26 March 2008 there is no such provision in the act which says that PAN of Land lord is required or not on rent receipts
