can anybody let me know the procedure for vat registration in karnataka
the amount/fees which has to be paid to the department
and the documents needed for the same?

1) upload Online Application in Form VAT- 1 along with Fee Rs 500/- and Scanned Documents
Once the documents submitted through the online, ACK Slip with unique number for the future reference will be provided .
2) e-Payment of Security Deposit –option for making e-Payment of Security Deposit is available.
3)Office visit by department concerned person for verification.
4) Once approved, then download the Certificate and get it signed from the VAT office.
Security Deposit Slab
a)For turnover below Rs 10 lakhs.:Rs 3,000
b)For turnover above Rs 10 lakhs to Rs25 lakhs: Rs 4,500
c)For turnover above Rs 25 lakhs.: Rs 15,000
d)For turnover below Rs 25 lakhs in areas other than city corporations and city municipality limits :` 1,500
