Hi
Its part of audit under which all posted vouchers is vouched (Audited) with respect to amount enters as per the supporting attached to it.
Also arithmetic accuracy is checked.

1) Whether the Journal Entries passed are authorized and passed under proper authorization.
2) Whether the Account Heads under which the Journals are passed are proper
3) All vouchers are supported by necessary explanations and documentary evidences
Like this just go ahead with the transaction encounters to you..

Suppose if you are verifying TA&DA(travel and conveyance) bills

Obtain travel policy from the management and refer whether transaction done as per travel policy of the company,
