Itrv rejected due to signature missing

my client had filled return of A.Y 2012-13 on 31.07.2012 and send the acknowledgement in time. bt today 12.07.2012 he tells me that his ITRV rejected due to signature missing.
then what i has to do... should re send the acknldgmnt after signing him. or revised return. or file a condonation of delay or wait for notification. bcz every year deptt. put a notification for extension of time limit...
now current status is shown signature missing not showing as defective return... what to do sir? help

The due date had been extended to 31-03-2013 by CBDT Notification no. SO 16(E) dated 4-1-2012, hence further extension can't be expected.

Sir what to do... now Bcz E filling call centre said plz send it again they will process... on call centre agent said revised it.....

Please note that the last date mentioned by me and that is in your second citation is same ie., 31-03-2013.
However, my understanding says , on the given facts, file the return again.

i think this time before march 2014 the deptt. will put a notification again for extension of ITRV.
as u said return the file agian... the in this case we have to pay the Penalty. bcz of last day was march 2013.

Do both the things. 1) Send the ITR V by getting signed as well as 2) File a revised return and then get it signed and send it to Banglore
