07 February 2014 My uncle filed his Return for ay:2013-14 on 27/08/2013.But he forget to send ITR-V to cpc and he sent his ITR-V on dec,13 and it received on 30/12/2013 at cpc.But status on his a/c show as ITR REJECTED and 'Filing date has exceeded the Due date'.There is no chance to file Revised return.So any one please suggest to process his return.

08 February 2014 file the revised return. it doesnt matter that the original return was filed late as it doesnt exist anymore. the revised return shall be considered as original return.

13 February 2014 if the first return's ITR V was not submiited within 120 days of filling online return then it cannot be revised as there is no appropriate return filed within due date.

you should file belated return online and then submit ITR V within 120 days to cpc,bengluru.

22 March 2014 Dear Varma,

An update on the above. You can resend the ITRV now. Income-tax department has extended the date for submission of ITRV till 31 March 2014.
