29 January 2014 I HAVE FILED MY RETURN OF INCOME FOR AY 2013-14 ON 31/07/13, I HAVE ALSO SEND THE COPY OF ITR V THROUGH SPEED POST, BUT 2-3 MONTHS ELAPSED I DINT RECEIVED THE MAIL FOR RECEIPT OF ITRV, THEN I ONCE AGAIN MAILED THE COPY ITR V THROUGH SPEED POST, NOW I CAME TO KNOW THAT ITR V IS REJECTED.

IN SHORT MY ITR-V FOR AY 2013-14 IS REJECTED, WHAT ARE ITS CONSEQUENCES? & WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW?

PLEASE HELP ME.
DESPERATELY WAITING FOR THE SOLUTION

29 January 2014 well the consequence is that return filed on 31 July becomes non-est ie it doesnt exist anymore.

You can file a revised return now.

29 January 2014 thank u sir for ur reply but i have one more doubt hope u dnt mind pls resolve it, i have heard from my friend a CA, that revised returned should be different from original return i.e there must be differences in some aspects with the original return

29 January 2014 there is no such restriction...just file it like this...dont worry...

03 February 2014 Your return has been rejected i.e will be considered as defective return. So You have to file your return again & it will be considered as original return & not revised. You can mail to me for any further assistance at caakritibh@yahoo.com
