Travel agent is also covered u/s 44AD. Travel Agent can file return under this section provided that his turnover or gross receipts does not exceed Rs.60 Lacs.

07 August 2012 yes, I agree with the above expert. as per the recent amendment, Sec 44AD has been revised. now persons carrying on profession as referred to in section 44AA(1) or

persons earning income in the nature of commission or brokerage income or

persons carrying on any agency business.
are not covered under sec 44AD.
