24 July 2023 Hello sir, please help me know my business code and whether I can opt ITR4 44ADA if I work as a freelance graphic designer via websites such as Fiverr and Freelancer.com?

25 July 2023 Yes you can opt for 44ADA and file ITR 4.
Use income code 16005 u/s 44ADA.

25 July 2023 Thank you so much sir for the information. I am very worried as it is my first time filing the ITR. There is so much confusion. I just want to clarify one thing -

Does graphic design freelancing come under Technical/Engineering field? Previously, I was about to use 20012 (Other cultural activities n.e.c.) for graphic designing to opt ITR4 44ADA

Also, when I try to fill my "Income from Source" tab in IncomeTax website, and select this profession - "Engineering and technical consultancy", the business code that comes thereafter is 16005, for which it asks me to select some mandatory fields which I don't know what to choose - such as "Registering Authority:", and "Registration Number/Membership Number". What should I do please sir guide me!

25 July 2023 I've done MCA (Master in Computer Application) in 2011, after that I worked for some advertising agencies, later I learned graphic designing and started working as a graphic designer from home via websites such as Fiverr and Freelancer.com.

29 July 2023 Dear sir, I have created the challan and now going to file my ITR. One article that I came across is this: https://alerttax.in/section-44ada-simplifying-taxation-for-professionals/

I think I can be rest assured about sticking to this profession to opt 44ADA in ITR 4. But I simply cannot find the proper business code for it, please help? Also, won't there be any error if I go back in my ITR draft and change the Business Code and Description there?
