02 February 2012 Dear sir,
An individual having income of Rs. 145000/- ( below the threshold limit ) from business under the provision of Section 44AF in the F.Y. 2008-09. Still can he file his income tax return for A.Y. 2009-10 voluntarily. If yes, then, any penalty whether can attract or not ?
Please advice in this regard.

return cannot be filed now.

‘a tax return may be furnished any time before the expiry of two years from the end of the financial year in which the income was earned’
