ITR 2 Error in ITR submission

01 July 2023 I clicked on proceed to validation on ITR-2 , and its showing 1 errors found but error description is empty. Please help as I’m unable to identify the problem and hence unable to submit the form.

I tried multiple times, but all in vain.

The technical error which is seen in developer tools is "code:EF40076, type:ERROR,desc:Record(s) insertion failed.

01 July 2023 It seems to be defect in utility. File complaint under 'Grievances' along with the screenshot of the error.

Our team files ITR online, in such error cases. There the error does not arise.

01 July 2023 I am able to solve the problem. If anyone else faces this issue, do the following:
1. Download the JSON.
2. File the ITR by offline method, by uploading the JSON.
3. Error will come; but this time, it will not be Null, and will have a suitable description upon which you can take action.
