09 August 2013 What to do if ITR V Got Rejected ???

Now what i have to do, Revise Return Or Belated Return Or Again file Original Return?????

09 August 2013 Why was the ITR rejected? Was it because it was received after 120 days?

In that case file a belated return.

If it was rejected for any other reason then file a return u/s 139(9).

09 August 2013 Since the ITR V was received after 120 days it is assumed that you did not file a return.

So now you will have to file a belated return.

I have tried to file return as Belated and got following message -

"Only one Original ITR can be filed u/s 139(4). Please change the section and retry.

Now what to do??

09 August 2013 Sec.139(4) represents the belated return only. select the option return filled after due date

09 August 2013 i had selected that but at the time of uploading got that message..

Again i tried to file as Revised and got following message --

" Return Type in Sheet - Income Deatils Must be Revised when return Filed under sec 139 (5)

09 August 2013 under what section you are filling, you are trying to file revised return or belated return?

09 August 2013 You have to file under 139(4) and NOT 139(5).

Select 139(4) and return filed after due date.
